National Leaders of Governance
We are very fortunate in the KTSA to be supported by an NLG and several outstanding governors who provide our schools with unstinting help and support.
In addition to this we are able to access further support through our NLG advocates. They are led by
Julia Steward (email@example.com)
who co-ordinates, work across the region, working to Tony Bloxham, RTSL with responsibility for governance
Our SW Region D NLG advocate is

NLG advocates statement
Our mission is simply stated: to improve the quality of governance in the region, in order to improve outcomes for pupils. Each advocate works with a local team of NLGs. We are under-resourced at present, and striving to find creative solutions which increase our collective resourcefulness in ways that are cost neutral. The new structure provides an opportunity to put in place regional protocols for deployment and quality assurance. The following suggested protocol has already been shared at some of the sub regional meeting, and is being followed by the Regional Schools Commissioners office, and NCTL.
If you need support for governance from and NLG, please
1. Email Julia Steward, the project manager (email@example.com) or make direct contact with sub regional advocate copying in project manager
2. Explain exactly what’s required to allow match of expertise and sufficient capacity; if sensitive, book phone call
3. Expect a response within 10 working days
4. Feedback from those supported will be invited
If you use this method and for some reason it does not work for you, please contact me, Julia Steward (firstname.lastname@example.org) direct.
We can improve our service only if we’re aware of where it isn’t working. Please also contact me with any comments you have about your experience of improving governance through the use of NLGs, or the challenges you face in that area.
A Round 3 SSIF bid to improve governance in the region is has been submitted. Please contact your sub regional advocate if you would like to know more.
